Also -- this is a message to any new friends I’ve met in the process. The mission with this account is to be the fan in the corner with a megaphone who is rooting for you. What up.

The truth is...when it's your vision -- it’s understandable that it’s hard for others to see it at first.

When I was just getting started with a Flipcam in 2008, I was super insecure and it didn’t help that there were only a couple of people who supported. They didn’t totally understand, but they weren’t naysayers -- which meant everything to me.

Fortunately, over the years as I started to gain some traction, I’ve had homies support by shooting videos for free, sharing work, setting up meetings, being mentors, letting me stay rent free, being extras in shoots, giving me feedback, producing beats, acting as a soundboard to share ideas with, or just dropping gems that made me feel like this was possible.

That support was game changing and it's how I hope this content can show up for you.

It's a special time to be a creative person. All the resources and tools (to share our ideas, build an audience, and make money) are at our fingertips. What I’ve realized is, all the technical skills and access in the world doesn’t mean crap if we lack soft skills necessary to thrive. So for this channel, I’m focusing on topics (hopefully in the most non-cheesy way possible) like confidence, the ability to communicate our ideas, health & wellness, relationships/connections, juggling “main job” as you build, being a leader, pricing our work/asking for the bag/owning your media, storytelling, and the creative process. The stuff that only experience can teach.

So, hey… thanks for reading this long caption. Hopefully it means you’re excited for some more short stories, insights, skits, interviews and rants to help you in your process as you share your work with the world.
